I got this review from Novel Updates, and its believable enough for me not to read this.It has been really hard for me to end this novel due to the author's disgusting opinions that are displayed as facts.About Mc:SpoilerMC is a confucian ghost who doesn't remember anything about his life but is obsessed with being ''filial'' and a ''chinese patriot''.MC is self-righteous and has double standard, ex: Foreign spies are demons and Chinese spies are heros.MC will always be extremely filial to his family. If the family made OgMC life miserable but MC believes that the fault lies in OgMC being s*upid or cowardly, MC will be extremely filial to them too and ignore all their wrongdoings. Unless the OgMC is directly killed or severely neglected/abused by his family, he will be forced to find other targets in order to release all his filial piety.Half of his confessions to his ''love'' interests are like: "You are filial to my parents, I love how you treat my parents and my parents love you too". More than looking for a wife it looks like he wants a caretaker for the elderly.In early arcs it's hinted that he has a wife or loved one looking for him through the worlds but this is fast forgotten and is never mentioned again in the whole novel.At the end of the novel we see that MC is God and this makes Mc's obsession with being filial and a chinese patriot even more senseless.If this novel had a prequel it would be about God Confucius creating the universe, descending in ancient china and giving birth to MC, a chinese god, with the help of a woman who follows the three obediences and four virtues perfectly.Lazy novel.SpoilerAlmost every urban arc (9/10) repeats the same operation:MC hacks all the information he'll need for the mission and sells softwares if he needs money.MC invests in stocks and becomes rich and depending on his mood he may become a patriotic scientist or an actor.Everything turns right without effort, antagonists slap themselves (if they don't do it MC will hypnotize them) and the mission objects basically complete the task themselves too.MC completes his task without difficulty.Every ancient or supernatural arc repeats the same operation:MC opens a goldenfinger.The arc ends without any difficulty.No matter how much out of character MC gets, he won't be discovered, the only one who recognizes that he isn't OgMC in the whole novel it's a reborn abused wife who wanted to reunite with her past life abuser husband aka OgMC. MC basically shows her that he is different so she can give up on him.If he enters the body of a known s*upid man and starts talking in 10 idioms while earning billions in stocks and software, NO ONE will notice something weird or suspicious.Author's views on women:SpoilerMen are rational beings and women emotional beings.Women are born to love shopping.Virginity is the most precious thing for a woman.Getting married and having children is the greatest happiness for a woman.A married woman with children can be called a succesful womanAnd many more bullsh*t like this,In the author's mind (or atleast in his subconsciousness) men and women are different species, while men could be called Homo Sapiens, women could be called Homo Shopping.Author's views on weight/health (this may be wrong because it was read on mtl) :SpoilerBMI Categories:Underweight = <18.5 -- Normal weight = 18.5 - 24.9 -- Overweight = 25 - 29.9 -- Obesity = 30+-A young man with a BMI of 26, 9 (183cm/90kg) is considered by the author as someone obese and disgusting.A young woman with a BMI of 17, 7 (168cm/50kg) is considered as someone fat and is discussed how her ribs aren't showing.A young woman with a BMI of 20, 5 (168cm/58kg) is considered as someone very fat and unsightly.There is an arc that shows a world where people discriminates against those who aren't beautiful and fit, to the point that companies prefer to hire a single beautiful but useless vase rather than a thousand ugly geniuses. The proportion ugly/beautiful in the arc is supposed to be the same as in real lifeSpoilerIn this arc MC enters the body of a 90k/183cm (26, 9 BMI, just a little overweight and probably a hunk if the man goes regularly to the gym). MC feels really disgusted with the body and can't stop explaining how ugly and unsightly it is and that is normal if someone this obese isd espised.MC decides to lose weight like crazy while singing music degrading those who are fat or ugly.This arc basically says: If you are ever discriminated due to your looks, you deserve it because you can operate your face in order to be more beautiful and you can always lose weight. If society rejects you, you must reject yourself and put efforts to change in a way that society accepts.I'm glad that I have read this novel after "He's a dragon" and "Super male god system", had I read this one first I would have never read any of this author's novels. In ''He's a dragon'' MC is a dragon, in ''Super male god system'' MC is a psychopath and in this novel MC is what the author believes to be a perfect man.It's been a long time since a novel has tilted me this much, if I remember any other disgusting thing (there are many) I'll edit below.One of the Idol arc's:SpoilerOgMC gets framed as having a love relationship and is then murdered by his fans who can't accept their idol being in love.The mission for MC is just to be succesful in the entertainment industry, there aren't any requirements nor restrictions for love relationships, it depends on what he wants to do.MC decides to be virgin for all his life while promoting celibacy in the entertainment industry.He becomes the representative of a celibacy movement and makes life harder for those who want to be stars but aren't willing to live and die alone for the sake of the fans madness.He basically acknowledges and approves of the fans control over the idol's life and spends his life promoting that if your work depends on public opinion you must live your life as the public opinion dictates you to, forsaking your individual rights and free will.
